I have been trying for the longest time to get a half way decent shot of these 2 Sandhill Crane’s. Usually by the time I get close enough to get a good shot with my 70mm – 300mm lens, Pepper scares them away and I usually only get the back sides as they fly away.
And usually when I don’t have my camera with me, they are only 10 ft off the road and are not concerned about my truck. Go figure, hopefully soon I will be able to get a better shot.
Another thing I wish to point out in Mississippi they are on the endangered list.
